About us
This site is intended to be a collection of the better restaurants in San Diego, or at least the ones we like, with a set of useful reviews containing actual informative information about the restaurant.
We’re sort of meta-foodies — we like good food, but it doesn’t have to be presented impeccably with three scales of a phoenix’s leg placed just so around a two-bite-size cutlet of green onion braised lamb. We’d also rather pay $20-$30 for a tasty meal than $40 for atmosphere and presentation. It has to be good quality, tasty, and we’re willing to pay for it if the food is good. (Though it’s always nice to find a place that has great food for a small price.)
Also, since we all seem to have random collections of recipes that we all love and trade, this is a place to put some of them up, as well as further experiments with food.
Everything listed here is a place or item we’ve eaten at and liked; if you like the sound of our descriptions, you’ll probably like these restaurants and recipes
